Hi, I receive the following error when I try to generate a report.

Unable to locate the help compiler executable.

I'm running BizTalk 2010 on Server 2008 R2.

My Configuration.exe.config file in folder "D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010" contains the following below. I have checked the paths for the files and they are correct; "C:\Program Files (x86)\HTML Help Workshop\hhc.exe" does exist!

Try adding the following at the end of the config file (but before the </configuration> tag):

Hi,

I got a similar issue when trying to generate the BizTalk Orchestration Profiler report. The error message was "conversion failed when converting string to datetime ...".

Looking at the datetime fields in the Orchestration Profiler UI, I noticed that the dates were being displayed in French format.

Changing my regional settings to "US" helped me solved the problem.

I guess that the Orchestration Profiler does not take into account the machine's culture while formatting dates. Hope that this bug will be corrected in a future version.

Is anyone successfully using the Orchestration Profiler with BizTalk 2010?

I have updated the following settings in red in the config file:

However, after running a report, I have the following problems: code coverage is 0%; and I cannot open the orchestration details image.

I am not sure if there is a separate download of Orchestration Profiler for BizTalk 2009. Can someone confirm that or will the same download work with BizTalk 2009 also?

Hi,

I've got an error when I try to generate a report.

In english (because the message is in french), it is something like "A cast error from datatype CHAR to DATETIME" has given a value out of limits of date and time. The instruction has been stopped".

Could you help me please ?

Hi, Yes it does. Please use the latest version (1.2) which also supports 64 bit systems

Hi Rudolf,

Thanks for pointing out the problem areas. We came across the timeout issues and i fixed them in a similar way. Didnt have the arithmetic overflow, but will incorporate that too. I have a release planned now (possibly a week or 2 max) and should have all this available.

Hi,

Yes, indeed. There is support for 64 bit in v1.2 which is in the "Planned" releases tab.

You can try using the 1.2 release and see if it works and let me know.

Also , the latest checkins all correspond to v1.3 and I will make a formal release available as soon as possible.

Since we're all encourage to use 64bit OS is there any support for 64bit operating systems?

When i run the report i get the following error

"Explorer OM is not supported in a 64bit process"

I tried the tool (very useful!) but experienced some issues querying our large tracking database (prod system). I eventually had to download the code and make a few modifications to get it to work.

The SqlOrchTrackingShapeMetrics.txt file

To avoid the Artithmetic errors: change AVG(cast(Duration) to cast(AVG(cast(Duration as bigint)) as int)

GetCoverageShapeInfo method

Add/change the sqlcommand timeout setting: cmd.CommandTimeout = 300;

Hopefully you can apply these fixes to the codebase.

Is there an easy way to associate a shape id from the help file to the actual shape? Unfortunately the shape name is duplicated a lot, so not sure how to figure out which shape is which.
